Weekly Update - June 23rd, 2025
Members and Friends,
As we enter the final week of June, we’re looking ahead to a joyful Founders Day celebration and our next blood drive on July 13. We’re also inviting volunteers to join a Red Cross Shelter Heroes training session in August as St. Paul’s prepares to serve the community in times of crisis. Read on for all the week’s updates, service details, and ways to get involved.
All the details for the week are below.
Upcoming Services/Happenings of Note:
Sunday Morning Study Group continues this Sunday at 8:30 AM. Grab a cup of coffee and join our regulars in The Parish Hall for conversation and prayer.
Bible Study is each Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the Parish Hall, and our books for study are available as we move through Ezra and Nehemiah. Please reach out to Mother Tanya for more details.
186th Founders Day service to be held on Sunday, July 13th. This year, we will be honoring the legacy of the Auman Family at St. Paul's during the service and expect many family and extended family to join us that day. If you haven't been to St. Paul's in a while, this is the Sunday to mark on the calendar for fellowship, prayer, and food!
Our next blood drive will coincide with Founders Day. Appointments can be made here: July 13 Blood Drive Appointment Link
For more information on upcoming events, please check out St Paul’s Calendar.
St. Paul’s has been designated as a potential emergency shelter by the American Red Cross.
To prepare, we’re looking for volunteers to attend a Shelter Heroes training session on Saturday, August 16. Your participation would be appreciated. Read more
Capital Project Update: 2025
Our capital project for 2025 will be to replace the original windows from the 1950's that were the idea of Rev. Bob Parks vision for St. Paul's in our Parish hall, and other exteriors including the offices. The cost is expected to be between 15 - 18k. We are not doing a formal capital campaign this year but if you feel led to make a donation, please write "capital fund" or "window fund" on your check and mail it to the church or put it in the collection plate. It is our hope to count all donations by Sunday August 17th.
SPEC Ministry
Our SPEC Ministry donates hygiene items to those in need by calling the church for an appointment for pickup at 850-583-4440. This ministry is officially 3 years old and has been a blessing to those who have hygiene needs in Gadsden County. Our Amazon Wish List for fully tax-deductible hygiene item donations to keep this ministry strong can be found here: SPEC Needs Amazon Page
